Your Reading Is Magic program and volunteers are heroes every time they walk into a school or library.  Using little miniature horses to inspire young children to read is most creative.  Congratulations on your wonderful charity, spirit and service to your community.

Benji was just named Oprah's Favorite Onscreen Animal!

"Lassie may be a classic choice, but this time around, Benji edged her out by a hair. While we appreciate Lassie and Timmy's bond, Benji is a stray with serious spunk. He may not have any pedigree, but Benji gets the job done. In his first film—released in 1974—Benji uses his keen canine senses to help save children from kidnappers. Plus, this pound puppy inspires audiences to open their hearts and homes to mutts of all shapes and sizes."

What is being said about The Soul Of A Horse.

Joe Camp is a natural when it comes to understanding how animals tick and a genius at telling us their story. This book is a must-read for those who love animals of any species."

 BENJI'S AMAZING CAREER

  • Benji is the only American actor who can boast that three movies bearing his name have finished their year of theatrical release in the top ten-percent of box office grosses for the year. Benji co-starred in a movie with Chevy Chase and starred in four ABC primetime specials and a Saturday morning series for CBS and the  release of Benji Of The Leash.
  • In September of 2002, the original Benji movie made People Magazine's all-time "Top 20 Must-See Family Movies."
  • Benji is the only canine actor to ever have his name placed in contention for an acting Academy Award. During the release of the original Benji movie, there were so many film writers praising the dog's ability to express emotion on the screen that Joe thought Why not? Several ads ran in Daily Variety and Hollywood Reporter suggesting Benji for the acting award, but Joe admits that Benji did not get nominated.
  • Over 74 million people have seen Benji in the theaters, more than half of them adults.
  • More than a billion people have watched Benji on television.
  • Two of Benji's primetime specials have been nominated for Emmys.
  • Benji's title theme was nominated for an Oscar and won a Golden Globe.
  •
  • Benji has twice been named the American Guild of Variety Artists' Animal Entertainer of the year.
